Not really anything to post. Have not started on the bathroom yet. We did get a new lawn mower, one of those 2 in 1 mulcher/bagger types. I reaaaallly like the way my yard looks now. No more of those big clumps of cut grass everywhere.

We watched Garfield the movie tonight. I'm glad that I borrowed it from my brother and didn't actually pay anything for it. Very dissappointing. Cute , but, not what I was expecting. Of course very few new movies are these days. Have people forgotten how to write scripts or are producers so intent on keeping the costs and content to the bare minimum that the end result has nothing to do with what was written? Alot of the newer movies so far this year look like the best parts wound up on the cutting room floor. I guess they think that everyone has the intelligence of an illiterate mountain boy from the thirties.

Here are my little angel's (yeah right) 2 year portraits. They came out pretty good cept for the last one. She got a bit cranky and would not pose any more. So we only got 5 instead of 7 poses. I especially like the flower garden. It's prolly going on my desktop background, if I can figure out how to do it. Hope ya like them.

I'm baaacccck! The wife said that I've been a little slow in posting lately. It's only been a month. I've been busy with the kids lately. They just won't let me have the time to come down to the puter and post anything. Eddie's yelling now. Yesterday my wife got a package from one of the ladies in her crochet group. She got some neat stuff but there was an extra surprise. She sent ME a crocheted eagle refrigerator magnet. I was tickled pink. In case you haven't noticed I collect eagles. I have over 100 from a tiny charm that I made into an earring to 2 blankets. I have them in all kinds of materials, wood, brass, glass, plaster, and fabrics. I try now to find unusual poses and styles. You would be surprised at how many there are. A lot of them I can't afford but I do pretty well. Anyway, thank you truelove730 for the addition to my collection.
In other news, we got a new dog. He's a part golden lab / black papa(MIA). His mother was found tied up in a shed with a ski rope so tight her skin was torn up. I'd like to find the asshole who did it and drag him by a skirope behind my truck. Anyway the guy who rescued her didn't know she was preggie til he got her home. He wanted to find good homes for the pups and we wanted a pup for the kids so we now have Tip or Tippy orTipper whatever Sherry and Tahra decide on. He's solid black cept for a tip of white on his nose and toes(hence the name Tip). He's gonna be a good addition to the family. He plays well with Tahra and more importantly he doesn't yap all night long like some pups. Das all I got for now. See Ya!! Oh yeah stay tuned for my bathroom remodel pics.

Valentines Day

I don't know what she was trying to say with the button on my card, but this is the stuff that I got as Valentine's gifts from my darling wifey. I actually got the tool box a couple of weeks ago, but, she told me then that it was my Valentine. The snake she said was the only "masculine" plush the store had besides the gorilla in boxers. I'm glad she got the snake. She only got me a tiny box of candy. She wants me to watch my weight. Only kiddin. Anyway I hope everyone got gifts as good as mine. Y'all have a happy V'day.

Yes. I know it's been a week since I posted. I've had a very busy week. My daughter had a b'day. I actually had to work a day and I have been preparing myself for my BIG bathroom remodel. Today Sherry and I went to Fort Smith and got the tile for the walls. I coulda just ordered it here , but, then it woulda prolly cost me twice as much. And since she has to work on Valentine's Day, we used this trip to have our Valentine's meal. We ate at Olive Garden and it was wooonnndeeerrrfulll. I have never eaten at one before so it was a first for me. We spent way too much time there and had to cut our shopping spree short. Along with Home Depot where we got the tile and some vertical blinds and a new Makita grinder (for me). we went to the Sam's Club and picked up our membership cards and spent $100 bucks on diapers, tp, and beer.(we live in a dry county so the beer is a treat) We stopped at Hobby Lobby so Sherry could look at yarn and crochet stuff. There was so much stuff that she couldn't make up her mind so we dint buy anything. Then we came home cause our sitters (my mom and brother) had plans for tonight. I'm gonna be posting pics of my remodel before and after so keep watching. SeeYa!!

Phil's Shadow

So the groundhog saw his shadow again. Well, DUUUUUHHH!! Every year they make a big production about the shadow and hey, guess what ? They have hundreds of news cameras all around the area. All those lights it must look to Phil like the sun landed on his porch. 'Sides who wouldn't run back in after someone dragged you out of a warm bed in February. I'd bite somebody and head for the hills. If Phil really wanted to predict something, how bout the score of the Super Bowl. I KNOW he's an Eagle fan.

We got new stuff!!!

We got our ( I should say Sherry's) tax refund back. Instead of a teeny 19" tv I get to watch the Super Bowl on a brand new 27" RCA. We woulda got an even bigger one but then we woulda had to buy a new entertainment center too. The new one fits perfectly with only an inch clearance. We also got a Gazelle exercise thingy. I've already put it together and done about 15 minutes on it. It really works your legs and chest. The rest of the check is gonna catch up all our bills and since I just got a water bill that was twice normal, we're gonna need it. It seems that when you have a busted water line that they will adjust the sewage part of the bill to reflect the extra water, but, you gotta pay for the full amount of water that soaked into your yard. If we have any money left Sherry says I can have a new monitor( mine is trying to die, it keeps demagnetizing itself ). Since I had negligible income last year ( zippo to be truthful ) I think that's pretty generous of her. I love my wife.

Tomorrow is my daughter Tahra's birthday. She's going to be 2 years old. And believe me she has already begun the "terrible twos". She wants to get into everything and she always starts up when I am either changing or feeding her little brother. She is actually a good little girl, not near as rambunctious as some kids her age like a couple of her cousins were. Course two of them are over 20 now and the other is 18. If you didn't know, I kinda got a late start making a family. I am 51 and my wife is 26. Tahra is my first child and Eddie is my last. Dylan is my 4 year old stepson.
Anyway tonight after the kids are asleep I get to assemble her new pretend kitchen. She has already begun to pretend to drink and eat invisible food. She'll take a bite of nothing and say "Ummmm Good". So she should really her new stove and coffe maker and pots and pans. My mom bought her some dishes so I have to rearrange her bedroom to build her "house". Wish me luck.

Eddie's Teefies

My boy has the start of his first teeth. They are just poking above the skin a little bit but they are definitely there. He scratched my finger when I felt for them. It finally happened because his sister keeps leaving parts of her cookies and crackers where he can get to them. Wednesday morning he just crawled up to her and took her Cocao Puffs cereal bar right out of her hand. Since he was not choking I let him keep it and he ate it all. Course I had to wash him after. He had chocolate all over his face. Eddie is gettin tooooooo big.

Sky Captain

O.K. Here is my personal critique of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. IT SUCKED!!! Well the special effects were good, the flying machines and the creatures. I think the best part of the story line ended up on the cutting room floor. I know what they were going for, trying to make it comic bookish and all , it just didn't work for me. I rented it mainly because of Angelina Jolie and she had what amounted to a bit part. There prolly wasn't 5 total minutes of her in the whole movie and most of that was in a plane with just flashes of her face. There was a little humor in the ending that I kinda liked, but for the most part, I am glad I only spent 3 bucks to rent it and not 20 to buy it.

Eddie's Milestones

My son has reached a couple of milestones this week. He started this with some serious crawling. He had been just rocking then launching himself forward. A few days ago he did his first knee shift. Now he crawls whereever he wants to. Today he surprised me by sitting upright without his hands down. He was just sitting there looking at me. When I appauded him he immediately smiled, went to hands and knees and crawled toward me. I don't know where this puts him in regards to other 6 mo. olds but it seems pretty good to me.

Let's settle the Twinkie situation right now. I never actually intended to buy Twinkies. I don't really like them. I used them as a generic term that I thought everyone would understand as I wanted snack cakes. I normally get Little Debbie snack cakes, but, they are not sold in all parts of the country or the world. If I had said that I wanted Little Debbie Fudge Rounds how many people would know what I was talking about? So I used Twinkies because they have been around forever and even people in most third world countries know what a Twinkie is. Yes, I did buy plenty of snacks. I bought 3 kinds of chips, 2 kinds of snack crackers, some fudge bars and some spice drops. I did not mean to confuse anyone. Course the wife had a lot to do with it. She just wanted to see what reactions we would get from her post. Das all I got for now. See Ya!!!

Hi there. For those who have never seen my other blog page, I am Robert , married to Sherry and father of Tahra, Eddie and step to Dylan. This is where I blow off steam, brag about my kids, and generally make a nuisance of my self to every one. I am currently a SAHD, taking care of my munchkins while Sherry works. I have a little ceramic tile installation business(very little) and I do merchandising for a few stores in our area. If you like what you read here feel free to comment(I would prefer not to get negative comments). Sherry does the technical stuff here cause I am basically a computer idiot, but, I'm learning.
